I have had the great fortune to train and study in the Shadow Yoga tradition of Hatha Yoga for 15 years, primarily under the tutelage of yoga masters Sundernath (Shandor Remete), as well as his long-time student, Mark Horner of Berkeley, California. I am forever grateful for the generosity and expertise of my first teacher of Shadow Yoga, Scott Blossom, of Berkeley, California.
A background in Tai Chi as well as many years as a competitive wrestler endowed me with the necessary tools of mindset and sensitivity that are essential for success on the path of traditional Hatha Yoga, as well as the understanding of the relationship of guru to sadhaka (teacher to student).
Years of formal clinical training in the science of Ayurveda also laid the foundation for understanding the underlying principles of Hatha Yoga, including knowledge of yogic anatomy, and especially the understanding of vayu, marma, and nadis.
Since 2000, I have been operating a wild seaweed harvest company along the Mendocino Coast that goes by a couple of names, Pacific Wildcraft and Origin Seaweed.
